About RifSol
One integrated platform. From crystal to cloud.
RifSol Corporation is an integrated semiconductor and electronics platform being built in Morocco. It spans the full value chain — silicon boules, wafer fabrication, assembly and packaging, board-level integration and AI datacenter systems — with its own IC Design Center, Advanced R&D Center and digital backbone holding it together as one platform.
Why RifSol exists
Most electronics today are assembled from a supply chain that crosses several continents before a finished system ships. RifSol is built on a different premise: that the full chain — from crystal growth to datacenter — can be designed, manufactured and integrated in one place, in Morocco, at the gateway of three continents.
The platform is engineered as one system rather than a collection of separate plants. Wafers grown on site feed the fab; the fab feeds assembly and test; assembly feeds board-level integration; and integration feeds complete systems. Each stage removes a border crossing, a logistics leg and a layer of coordination overhead from every stage after it.
The integrated model
A combined five-stage value chain runs through the manufacturing divisions, with design and research feeding it end-to-end:
- 1Silicon BouleCrystal growth and wafering
- 2Frontend350–65 nm wafer fabrication
- 3BackendAssembly, packaging and test
- 4SMT/PCBABoard and module assembly
- 5AI DatacenterIntegrated compute systems
Integration is also a design principle. The IC Design Center designs against the fab’s own process platforms, and the Advanced R&D Center develops the next generations — SiC, GaN, photonics and advanced packaging — on equipment the production divisions already run, so a research result transfers onto a production line instead of crossing a continent. NIT runs the MES, data platforms and cybersecurity that keep the whole flow traceable, wafer by wafer.
Eight divisions, one platform
Each division is a deep-dive page with its capabilities, process flow and applications:
Silicon Boule
Crystal growth, wafering, CMP and wafer metrology — the first stage of the chain.
Frontend
A 350–65 nm automated wafer fab in progressive ramp: CMOS, BCD, power-discrete and SiC platforms.
Backend
Assembly, packaging, test and reliability — including SiP, chiplet integration and HBM rework.
SMT/PCBA
Surface-mount lines engineered for ±25 μm placement accuracy and >99.9% first-pass yield.
AI Datacenter
High-density compute infrastructure built on 50% renewable energy.
IC Design Center
Analog, mixed-signal, digital and MCU design against the fab’s own process platforms.
RifSol Advanced R&D Center
SiC, GaN, photonics and advanced packaging research, coupled to the production lines.
NIT
The digital backbone: MES, Industry 4.0 data platforms and cybersecurity — from classroom to cleanroom.
Built in Morocco, for three continents
The platform is positioned at the crossroads of Europe, Africa and the Americas, with the largest port in Africa at Tangier Med, an international hub in Casablanca and highway connections into Europe. European markets are 2–5 shipping days away with free-trade access; the United States and Africa complete the reach.
The build is as much about people and energy as it is about fabs: the AI Datacenter infrastructure is designed on 50% renewable energy with a carbon-neutral target of 2027, and the NIT division engineers the talent pipeline — structured training tracks that take students and engineers from the classroom onto production systems before cleanroom-grade responsibility follows.
How the platform is built
The build-out is phased. Divisions come online in sequence, each qualified against real industrial programs rather than promises — process platforms are industrialized in phases, and capability windows are stated as targets until they are qualified.
Every research program must name the production line it will eventually live on: SiC development names the frontend fab, packaging research names Backend, photonics names the fab and the AI Datacenter it will connect. That constraint keeps research industrial and the roadmap credible.
Hiring follows the same logic: teams grow with the programs actually being deployed, and NIT’s training tracks offer an entry path from the classroom for early-career engineers.
